What are GlowShelves?
A systematically designed process of creating glowing home decor products from high-end
hardwoods. First we hand select each piece of wood and flatten it. Next we use state of the art
CNC machines to carve desired patterns. We then use special pigmenting processes with
naturally luminescent materials mixed with Epoxy Resin.
The end result is truly mindblowing.
Are they more expensive than other shelves?
Luckily we buy so much epoxy resin in bulk for work in other projects that we are able to stay
competitive with regular Home Decor products and traditional, plain wooden shelves. We only
use Liquid Glass Epoxy, which is the most expensive.. But doesn’t yellow like other epoxies do.
We will never sacrifice quality for cost and will take a lesser profit to remain competitive.
Do they always glow?
We use special types of glowing media that naturally react with light. While they will glow even
in ambient light, for the true effect they will need a light source to actively excite the materials.
That’s why we’ve created custom lighting solutions for this purpose, or you’re free to select your
own lighting options..
Or enjoy them as they are with a softer glow from ambient light.
Can I stare at your lights once installed?
The lights we use are a specific spectrum of UV commonly found in other interior household
products such as UV fly traps that you plug into your wall.
We recommend installing the lights above eye level and, as with any light, it’s best not to stare
directly at the light source.
How do I care for my Shelf/ Product?
We recommend using Walrus Oil which is food safe and non toxic. Simply use a microfiber cloth
or rag and occasionally wipe down your item.
Can you make my custom design glow?
99% chance we can. We have multiple State of the Art CNC machines and other machinery.
Some patterns have properties which make them difficult to carve, but we can work around most
difficult files.
We are very responsive and will work with you. We’re also so designers, so if you have an idea
let us know and we will work with you to customize your creation.
Do you accept returns?
Yes we accept returns on non-custom options and lighting.
The customer would be responsible for shipping.
Do you have a warranty for your products and lights?
All of our lighting options have a One Year no questions asked warranty.
